MM — like the candy

MM — like the candy

In elementary school, I moved from Seattle to Taipei, and from Taipei to San Francisco. As a fifth grader with no business being on Facebook, I'd tab between designing my restaurant on Restaurant City and messaging friends I'd moved away from. My early exposure to digital interfaces led to my desire to create them.

I studied engineering at UCLA; however, my fascination with shaping the experiences I built led me to switch to design halfway through my degree. Swapping VS Code for Figma was my best decision.

Six years later, I've learned to ask questions that challenge assumptions, embrace ambiguity, and never stop iterating. I'm a systems thinker; I thrive when diving into complexity to craft meticulous and meaningful experiences.

Design, in my eyes —

I see digital product design as a dynamic interplay of logical problem-solving and creative exploration, a delicate balancing of user needs and business objectives.

Where I'm at —

I hope to leverage my multicultural background to design for diverse user needs and motivations. Currently a Growth Product Designer at CNN in New York City 🍎, I focus on driving engagement through strategy and testing.

My five-to-nine

My obsession with storytelling doesn't end at design. I also love to read 📚, practice my latte art ☕️, and roll my ceramics 🥣 into my yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️ mat to bring them home.
